Nature spirit or unknown energy?
Jim at Ghoststudy writes, "I took these pictures on a large hill above a campground where I and a group were spending the night in Lake Tahoe, NV. I was hoping to capture something in the way of what is generally termed as "nature spirits". What added to the adventure was the fact that this hill was the very place where the bears would come down into the campground at night in their search for food. So we had to be very aware of our surroundings and not linger long. I wasn't sure if my pepper spray would even have an effect on the bears but I was prepared to use it. :) Anyway, these pictures were taken towards the top of that hill consecutively. I saw the first image appear on my digital camera so I took a second picture and the same image appeared again but slightly different. The third picture simply displayed a streak and the rest of the pictures after that were normal. My camera allows one picture every 8 seconds so there was a space between the pictures of 8 seconds each. I never hold the camera up to my face at night, I simply hold it out in front of me and I always make sure that there is nothing in front of the lens at the time of the flash."

Hey Jim, first I love your site and normally I check out the pics on my own but today I was looking with my partner who took one look at your pic and is certain the thing in the pic is a watch strap or a bracelet.. looking at it again I almost agree with him , were you wearing either of these? cheers Erin

Erin, I wasn’t wearing a bracelet but I was probably wearing a watch. You might have a point but I’m always very careful when taking pictures. These pictures were taken almost two years ago so I guess memory wise I can’t say for sure that a watchband or something similar could not have gotten in the way. I really appreciate your input in this!
