Rose writes, "I
watched lightening strike this oak tree on our property in Brainerd,
Minnesota. It was a hot, steamy 80 degree day. I could hear thunder very close
by and was prompted by our yellow lab to get out of the storm. It was about
3:30 in the afternoon. As we watched the sky from our deck, I saw the tree
suddenly explode. The top of the tree lifted up like a rocket, and the center
part just blew up. The sound was deafening. Steam surrounded the tree for
several minutes until the rain cleared the air. I took many photos, and only
two had the strange spots, and they were not taken in order. I could not see
the spots when the pictures were taken. I thought the developer had spoiled my
pictures in the lab, and asked them to reprocess the pictures. When examining
the negatives they found the spots are in the negatives. It was nothing that
happened in the lab. My husband insists that it was the spirit from the oak
tree leaving."
