Tomb of the unknown Solder!
Rich writes, "Attached is a file showing
two pictures I took several years ago at the Tomb of the Unknown
Soldier at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, DC. I didn't see anything
out of the ordinary in the viewfinder. It was only after I got the
pictures developed that I saw the beams of light in the picture on the
right. As you can see by the position of
the blond woman in the center bottom of both frames, and the position of the
clouds in the sky, the pictures were taken only moments apart, and from very
nearly the same position, although I did turn the camera to get a horizontal
shot. The three beams of light do not
appear on any other pictures that were on the roll. At first I thought
they were just plain defects, but then I really looked at the angle.
When I took the picture, as you can see, I was slightly to the left of
center. It looks to me that if I had been dead-center (pardon the
expression), the three beams would line up pretty well behind each of the
three graves. I've been holding on to
these pictures for years, showing people once in a while, but always
wondered if anyone else had ever seen anything like this before in this
spot."

Here's another example (3 beams) from a viewer
