Healing sand from chapel in New
Mexico
People take sand from this pit daily
and it always mysteriously replenishes itself. The sand is believed to have miraculous
healing properties. I have personally examined this sand and found the thought

Healing sand
taken from New Mexico Chapel!
Jackie writes, "Sanctuario De Chimayo: Situated 9 miles east
of Espanola, New Mexico, on the Truchas Road, the Sanctuario De Chimayo was
built as a thanks offering by Don Bernardo Abeyta in 1816. Located on a small
incline amidst a grove of huge, ancient Cottonwood trees, the Chapel itself is
made of native adobe bricks and the wood used is from Plum trees...Many strong
beliefs exist as to the curative powers of the sacred sand pit in the chapel,
and a room filled with discarded crutches and other devices bear testimony to
this belief."
Jackie writes, "My mother has also told me that in the mornings, when the fathers open up the
locked chapel, they will find a child's footprints in the sand pit. These
footprints are credited with being caused by the Baby Jesus."
